GCH Timberline’s Dust Bowl Dance

(OFA H/E OFA DM Clear, EYE & Cardiac CertifieD)

2020 Started off great, with our Archie, GCH. Timberline’s Dust Bowl Dance OFA H/E, DM Clear, rocketing into the #4 All Breeds, # 1 Herding, and #1 German Shepherd spot for conformation in Canada. To date Archie has had 3 Best in Shows, 4 Reserve Best in Shows and 13 Group 1st Awards. Archie was bred by Sonoma GSD, born here, from Ch. Sonoma’s All in Good Time RN OVC H/E. Archie is owned and loved by Tony Vandendool, and Rachel Vandendool (Timberline), and co-owned by Julie Vandendool (Sonoma German Shepherds). His handlers this year are Kristin Sapinski and Tony Vandendool. We are so proud of his accomplishments, and we are hoping dog shows will safely resume again soon so he can get back at it! New Puppies at Sonoma!

We are happy to have a new litter here at Sonoma, born April 13, 2020, from our 2018 Canadian Maturity Victrix/Sel Ch. Sonoma’s Lover of The Light, and Ch. Sonoma’s Look At Me Go OFA H/E DM Clear. We have 4 males and 4 females, and we have puppies still available, with show and companion spots still open. There will be both long and short coated pups in this litter. Inquiries are welcome!


2019 End of Year Update!

It has been a busy year here at Sonoma, mainly centered around welcoming our first two-legged addition! Josephine Keeper Ramey arrived March 31st 2019. The dogs are loving our new addition:)

Our new kennel building is coming along nicely, and we hope to have it finished and our canine crew moved in next spring!

And finally, we have a busy holiday season ahead of us, with a new litter of German Shepherd puppies from Weston and Emerson, born November 16th. They will be ready to go in mid-late January. We are also welcoming two new litters of Dachshund puppies, expected in late November and mid-December. Exciting times!

2019 Update!

What an exciting year! Ken has been hard at work building a new 24X40 Kennel/Workshop, which will be a great new space for the dogs! We had a lovely litter born November 26th, 2018, and we have a few show and companion quality puppies still available. Check out the Puppies Page for more details! We are also working on getting our new girl, Merideth, from our 2018 litter from Addison and Landon ready for her first dog shows! And finally we’re expecting a baby girl the first week of April, so we’ll be taking a bit of a break from dog shows and new litters around that time, while we adjust to being a family of 3!

2018 Ontario Region Futurity/Maturity

Our kids are Nationals bound! So proud of Sonoma’s Lover of The Light, for going ON Region Reserve Maturity Female, and Sonoma’s Look At Me Go, who went Reserve Futurity Male! Thanks to Rachel Lynn and Dillon Conod for handling, and Ken Ramey for stepping in for me while I was delivering our new litter of 9 pups!

Winter Update!

It has been a busy few weeks at Sonoma, and we have been doing lots of travelling! We are excited to be expecting a litter of Dachshund puppies around March 23rd, after taking our beautiful girl Tessa to the handsome AKC Ch. Harlequin's Diamond In The Ruff ML, in New Jersey, where we took Tessa for a walk on the Atlantic City Boardwalk!. Silver Dapple and Black and Tan puppies are expected! They make great companions for GSD's!! Visit our Dachshund page for more info!

We are also excited to be expecting two litters of GSD puppies in early May from our girls Micheala & Emerson. The stud dogs are handsome brothers, Paxton and Vinny. Visit our puppies page for further details! Deposits are being accepted now, and the litters are filling up quickly!

Kricket Earns Her First Major!

Our very pretty Brat, Sonoma's Lover of The Light headed stateside for her first US show October 14/15 in Hamburg NY. She came back with a Best of Breed win for a 3 point major under Charles Olvis and a Best of Winners 2 point win under Barbara Dempsey Alderman. Kricket is now well on her way to her US Championship! We will have her out selectively over the fall/winter.

2017 Canadian Nationals!

At the 2017 Canadian Nationals, our 2016 Can FV Timberline's Dust Bowl Dance went Maturity Victor! Archie was bred by Sonoma and he is co-owned with and residing at Timberline German Shepherds. Thanks to Liv Calabrese for handling him so beautifully! Then our pretty puppy Sonoma's Lover of The Light was awarded 1st in the 9-12 month class, presented by her buddy Rachel Vandendool. Kricket is owned by Ken and I, and is from the first litter we bred together, so... that was a big thrill! And now today we got the awesome news that our handsome boy co-owned with Brownhill German Shepherds, Timberline's All Rev'd Up Sonoma PT OFA H/E completed his American Championship! Gideon was co-bred by Sonoma and Timberline. All of these dogs are out of our very special Micheala, Ch Sonoma's All in Good Time RN OVC H/E, who placed 4th in a large and beautiful class of veteran bitches this weekend as well. Thanks so much to Gloria Birch for the National wins, it's such an honour to have our dogs recognized by one of the gatekeepers of our breed.

    Dutch Goes Best Baby Puppy In Show!

    So proud of Baby Dutch! At the Wildwood Kennel Club show in Woodstock, ON, February 3, 2017, our baby girl  Sonoma's Holland Road V Timberline, from Sel Ch. Alkarah's Brown Eyed Handsome Man OFA H/E and Ch. Sonoma's All in Good Time RN OVC H/E was awarded Best Baby Puppy in Show under GSD specialist, Michel Chaloux.  She also went Best Baby Puppy in the herding specialty as well! Dutch was handled at her first show by her mom, Rachel Vandendool.

    Look for this pretty girl in the future!

    2016 Canadian Nationals

    FUTURITY VICTOR ARCHIE!

    What a great Nationals we had this year! We are so proud of our young man from our Micheala/Wilson litter born in July 2016, Ch. Timberline's Dust Bowl Dance. Archie went 2016 Canadian Futurity Victor under judge Morton Goldfarb. Thank you Mr. Goldfarb for finding our handsome boy in a quality class of Futurity Dogs. Archie is co-owned with Timberline German Shepherds, and was handled by his co-owner Rachel Vandendool. Archie hung out with us all summer being trained and conditioned for the Nationals, and now he has headed back to Timberline, where he is available at stud.

    What a dream come true! Under judge Robert Drescher, our beautiful Ch. Sonoma's Awake My Soul OFA H/E, aka Addison, was awarded Select # 8 at this year's national. Thank you to Mr. Drescher for this great honour!
