Puppy Information

Our German Shepherd Puppies are born and raised in the home with us. We have two custom built whelping rooms where the puppies are raised from birth until they leave for their new homes. Our German Shepherd Puppies are raised in clean, comfortable conditions. We believe that happy moms in a calm environment contribute to sound tempered puppies. We begin accepting deposits on puppies upon breeding of the litter, and litters are typically reserved within a few weeks of their birth. New puppy owners are welcome to visit their puppy once they reach 3-4 weeks of age. We provide weekly photo updates on the page below until the puppies leave for their new homes. Puppies are chosen by their new owners in order of deposit, once they have been for their veterinary checkup and vaccinations at 6 weeks of age. We provide guidance in matching the right puppy with the right family.

Parents of our litters are titled in conformation or obedience, or actively working on their titles. All parents are OFA/OVC certified or prelimed, and our dogs are OFA DM tested or cleared by parentage as well. Feel free to check out some of our previous litters in our Gallery.

Sonoma German Shepherd Puppies come with the following upon purchase:

• Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) Registration

• Microchip (no additional fees or registration required)

• 1st Vaccinations

• Deworming (with Panacur)

• Veterinary Checkup

• 3 Year written health guarantee (hips/elbows, genetic health issues and temperament)

• Puppy Package, including copies of parents photos, health certifications, conformation titles, pedigrees, and lots of reading material

• One month of Pet Insurance coverage (with Trupanion)

• All companion puppies sold on a CKC Non Breeding Contract

In 2025 we made the difficult decision, due to work and family commitments, to retire our GSD breeding program. Our breeding dogs have since been placed with other kennels or retired to companion homes. Only a few of our oldest dogs have remained with us. Our bloodlines are still being bred at a number of kennels in Canada and the US. We’d recommend reaching out to the two responsible, ethical breeders below if you are looking for a puppy from similar bloodlines to your previous Sonoma GSD:
